THE ROUTE OF THE TOUR: Tbilisi – Kakheti – Mtskheta – Bakuriani – Tbilisi
Georgia is famous not only for its feasts, culture, traditions and delicious dishes with wine, but also for the first-class ski resorts. The constantly developing infrastructure here has transformed the bases, famous since the Soviet times bases into the modern resorts, in no way inferior to European ones.
1 day Arrival in Tbilisi. Hotel accommodation.
Arrival in the pearl of Transcaucasia – the amazing city Tbilisi. Transfer and accommodation at the Hotel.
Today you will see the architectural wonders of the capital:
Sameba Cathedral – a symbol of the rebirth, unity and immortality of Georgia. It rises in the center of Tbilisi on the top of the St. Elijah Mountain.
Metekhi is the true symbol of the Georgian faith, culture and history. The Metekhi Cathedral was founded in the 13th century. There is a grave of Saint Shushanik, the first Georgian martyr in the temple. Next to the church there is a monument to the founder of the city Vakhtang Gorgasali.
Visit the building of the Italian architect, the face of modern Tbilisi – the Bridge of Peace.
On the left bank of the river there is a temple of Sioni, founded in the 6th century. The wonderful age of the church is also evidenced by the fact that its floor now lies almost three meters below the surface of the pavement.
Later, just in the course of a few minutes we will appear at the Narikala fortress, going up by the cable car.
Here we will see the fascinating views of the legendary capital of Georgia. The Narikala Fortress is the citadel of the heart of the old city, and it was the main military defensive fortification of Tbilisi for 15 centuries.

Day 2 Excursion to Kakheti. Sighnaghi.
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure for an excursion to the incredible Kakheti.
Excursion to Sighnaghi -the city of love. This cozy city perfectly combines elements of southern Italian and Georgian architectural subtleties.
Next we will visit the nunnery and the episcopal complex of St. George – “Bodbe”. Here we can see the basilica of St. Nino, and descending into its miraculous springs you can make a wish that will come true (walking on foot for 30 minutes).
Visit the wine cellar in Sighnaghi, tasting different types of wine and Georgian vodka – chacha.
Arrival in Tbilisi.
Rest. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 Transfer to Bakuriani.
Breakfast in the hotel. Check out.
Departure to Bakuriani.
Stop in Mtskheta (no more than 2 hours).
Mtskheta (The Second Jerusalem) – the oldest, gorgeous city, where the royal throne used to be situated. You will have an opportunity to get acquainted with the Cathedral “Svetitskhoveli” (XI century, it is a holy place for every Orthodox, in this cathedral the chiton of Jesus Christ, in which he was crucified, is kept.) According to legend, this temple was erected over the exuding fragrant oil (miro) on the bottom of that cedar, under which the educator of Georgia, Saint Nina, prayed.
We rise to the monastery of Jvari (6th-7th cc), from where opens a beautiful panorama of the ancient capital (in Jerusalem there is a church with the same name).
Optional: Here in Mtskheta, we can visit the wine cellar and the Georgian peasant hospitable family, where we will taste Georgian wines and chacha + lessons of Georgian cuisine + a peasant Georgian delicious dinner, which you will remember for a long time. Tasting is done from the clay pials. There will be the home made wine of 2 varieties – red, white, chacha of 2 varieties – white and tinted. The taster himself is a historian and winemaker, and during the tasting he will tell you the whole history of grape culture and wine production in Georgia ( an additional fee of $ 25 per person)
Arrival in Bakuriani – the oldest ski resort in the Caucasus, which combines the purest high mountain air and the scent of coniferous forests. Modern Bakuriani will please not only the fans of mountain skiing, as for several years it has also been recognized as a family resort of Georgia.
Bakuriani is located at an altitude of 1800 m above sea level on the northern slope of the Trialeti Range, 24 km from the Borjomi Gorge. Bakuriani is surrounded by mountains covered with coniferous forests, this part of Georgia is famous for its curative climate.
A large number of sunny days a year, beautiful people, famous Georgian hospitality, Georgian cuisine, reasonable prices attract not only local winter sports fans, but also guests from all over the world.
The average height of the snow cover is about 60 cm, avalanches are very rare in Bakuriani. The trails are certified by “FIS”
